Brian Swenson was born on July 17, 1945 in Falls City Nebraska....after his bigger twin brother Bruce. Although Bruce was the bigger of the two boys, Brian was usually the mouthpiece for both of them. Brian had an older brother Dennis and twin sisters Ann and Judy. Both of the twin girls died at an early age. After the twin boys were born, another boy Ken (Skeeter) and a sister Mary graced the family of the Swenson's. Jan and Brian met in 1969 at a singles apartment complex in Omaha called Eden West. Brian was living with his brother Bruce and his younger brother Ken who was supposed to be saving for his last year at Notre Dame. That summer in 1969 was the year of the party for all at Eden West. Everyone would go to work in the morning and after work it was time for "pool party" and beer. We all had a great time!! Brian and Janis were married in Febr. of 1971. He was still going to school for the first few months of their married life. He soon decided to go to work for Household Finance. Thus began his career working for the Finance Industry. He worked for several different lending institutions, commercial banks as well as industrial banks. His greatest achievemnt in banking was when he moved to Scottsdale from Beatrice ,Ne. and he "ran his own show" with Harris Bank. In Beatrice he was Senior Vice President for First National Bank and In Scottsdale he headed up the Carefree branch of Harris Bank. He ran the show in every conceivable end of banking and did so until he tired of working 12 hour days. He retired in October of 2003. (?) Brian and Jan had two beautiful and wonderful girls. Kelli and Tracy were the bright spot in every day for Brian. He ruled with an iron hand at times while they were growing up, but both of the girls turned out to be talented and exceptional young ladies. They now have families of their own and Brian was so very proud of how they are now raising their own families. Brian's life was a good one. It was "full of life" and happiness. He was an extremely BRAVE and GIVING person. Hopefully all of the pain that he endured at the end of his life will help someone else in their journey with Cancer.....maybe he even helped to eliminate the dreaded disease!!!!!! Let's hope !!!! Thank you Brian for all that you endured and for loving all of us so very much. YOU ARE MISSED TERRIBLY!!!!! Jan
