Just a couple of weeks ago I literally lost my voice from, yelling and cheering for NAVY as they won over Notre Dame in triple overtime. The last year that happened, 1963, Brian and I had just joined the NAVY. The entire time I was cheering and crying I kept thinking, “I wish Brian was here to see this”. It then occurred to me that not only was he watching it but he was probably whispering in God’s ear to make this “the year”. I know that Notre Dame is dear to the hearts of the rest of the Swenson clan and that is has it should be, but this was our year, Brian’s year. It was just one more thing to be thankful to my friend for. - I miss you Brian! Larry Darveau
